DECEMBER
This month the teenagers from the Day Center had the opportunity to participate to a Christmas Program where they enjoyed a carols concert and they saw a play about the danger of emphasising the Christmas symbols and forgetting about the real meaning of this holiday.
SEPTEMBER-NOVEMBER
A new hectic work year has begun in September. We are happy to inform you that starting with this month we have a new colleague at Day Center for Teenagers. Her name is Mihaela Coman and she's very dedicated to the teenagers, her proficiency and her skills being a real resource for the work we are doing at the Center.

IULY-AUGUST
Padis Camp
The teenagers from the Day Center and a group of 24 Scottish people from Lewis Isle involved in the programs of The Duke of Edinburgh Award participated in a camp. The camp was in the Padis Mountains from the 30th of July to the 6th of August.
During the camp we had various cultural activities, all sort of games about the cultural identity and diversity, about the similarities and the differences between the two cultures.

The camp program also included hiking and visiting the caves from that area, orientation games, daily discussion about educative and spiritual topics and an evening with Scottish songs, dances and food.

The theme of the camp was SURVIVAL. We chose this theme to be in agreement with the mountain surroundings, with the activities organised by the Mountain Rescue representatives and with the challenges that a teenager must face through this troubled times. During the discussion times, we tried to discover together how to survive fear, inferiority complex, failures and arguments with the parents and how to survive peer pressure.
At the end of the camp we organised a fair where the teenagers could buy what they liked, but instead of money we used points they got all through the week for discipline, for being on time at the activities and for their involvement.
For the Romanian and Scottish teenagers, all these activities were unforgettable experiences that helped their personal growth and helped them create new relationships, with a positive impact on their lives.

JUNE
Celebrating the 1st of June
We began the month of June by celebrating the uniqueness and the beauty of every teenager. We planned a special meeting for all the teenagers from the Day Centre in which we experienced the joy of being a child.
MAY
In May we had meetings with the teenagers at the Day Centre on a regular base as we usually do. For some of them we had maths and literature tutoring which helped them prepare for the national exam they have to pass in the 8th grade.
