In December we organized four leisure activities for our teenagers: attending a piano recital followed by a painting exhibition, making Christmas cards for family and friends, watching an educational movie, attending a Christmas carols concert.
Our main event was the Christmas celebration at the Day Center. The older teenagers presented the Christmas story with the aid of some props that they received at their arrival. The teenagers found out who were the Magi and the price that they paid to find Jesus and to worship him. The challenge was that the teenagers would make time to search for Jesus, that they wouldn’t remain indifferent at the love shown in the manger, that they wouldn’t live selfishly for themselves and for the short pleasers of the sin.
At the Christmas celebration, we also had carols, games, special activities for Christmas, cookies and juice and each teenager received a present at the end of the meeting.
Besides all these, the teenagers were very glad to receive food supplies from the Town Council and two other packages of food supplies from the “Basket of Joy” Campaign, a campaign organized by Herald Charity during the 15th- 20th of December, when clients of Iulius Mall donated food supplies.
