During 2010 we had assisted a total of 10 single parent families . The program for single parent families in 2010 was held on two fronts:
1. group therapy once a month, with topics chosen by beneficiaries, and also financial and material aid
2. the project ” The house where I am going to raise my child”.
I. Information about the assistance offered:
- Group Therapy
At the meetings, we attend generally about 10 mothers. At each meeting are addressed various issues in order to come up with new solutions to problems. Thus, during several meetings was discussed "Financial Management" and were presented practical methods for managing finances. As practical part every mother had to write down their family's budget (the money that enters the house) and expenses (outputs). By this method we want to correct the wrong way to spend the money and learning skills to save the little money that these ladies have. Other topics discussed were: truth versus falsehood, gossip, bribery, anger. Also were used intercative metodhs and mothers had the opportunity to discuss problems encountered and also to interact between them.
Special attention has been given to prevention. At all meetings of the group and counselling we talked about prevention especially in relation to children who are vulnerable to potential addicts such as Internet, TV and movies with drawings verbal and physical violence, cigarettes, alcohol and drugs. In turn, one of these sensitive issues, faced by modern society, were discussed at our meetings.
- Recreational activities for children in single parent families
