Single Parents Families 2010 News

Since January 2011 we worked on planning activities for this year. This year the work at the Counseling And Support Center for Single Mothers will take place on three fronts:

- The "House in which to raise my child"
- Support Group
- Counseling

During this period were made social surveys for mothers included in the project "House in which to raise my child" and have signed cooperation agreements with them.

The support group meetings are held monthly on the first Friday of each month. At this meeting attend mothers who are in the project "The house in which to raise my child", and other mothers who consider those meetings to be helpful for them. For 2011, the topics addressed during these meetings will be connected to raising children. Thus, in January we have invited a divorced mother with three children, who shared her experience of life and how one of her boys who were addicted to drugs escaped from this addiction.

In February the theme discussed was "The privilege of parenting." Based on the movie "Ben Carson's life”, mothers realized once again that regardless of the difficulties encountered, should encourage their children and invest in them, hoping that one day they will rise above all the problems faced .

In March, during a festive dinner, together with these ladies we talked about how it should be "Woman after God's heart." Passing in every day from mother's role at the housewife, employee, neighbor, etc., these mothers often neglect them. Each of them realized how important it is to be filled with wisdom, to be organized, cautious, to be a worthy egample followed by their children.

During meetings with mothers, volunteers spend time with children. They prepared activities and special games for them.
In February, the mothers received food packages, and in March received a gift for the 8th of March.
In terms of counselling, some mothers have benefited from this service. There have also been meetings and discussions with other mothers who sought help and in the next month will be established in what way they will be helped.
