In this period 8 old ladies have been assisted, for they are being alone, in need of help and having serious health problems. Besides the monthly activities and services (shopping, food delivering at home, emotional-spiritual support, companionship, running errands, paying the bills, some cooking and cleaning, taking them to the doctor, getting the drugs from the pharmacy, going out for a walk, etc), we've also done the following : we've created the support group, we've delivered the food packages from the City Hall, and, in the same time, we've tried to keep in mind the winter holidays.
A pleasant surprise was the visit of our sponsors from Scotland, who brought along the joy of meeting again and also financial support.

Visiting the ladies at home always gives them the feeling of belonging, which makes them feel happy and secure.

Counseling has always been the way of helping them cope with their problems and trust God more than anything else.

Meeting some of our volunteers.

Emotional support group - that is for those who can walk; we've talked about God's love, they were glad to see each other again and prayed together, forgetting at least for a while about their loneliness. We use to end these meetings with a colective prayer and a small present for the ladies, and after that everyone goes to their home.

Help material:

Taking them to the confectionery.

Walking in the park. Although the weather is colder now, walking in the park refreshed and relaxed them and also helped them forget they are alone most of the time.

Delivering the food packages from the City Hall.

Delivering the food packages from the foundation.

To make the spirit of Christmas flow into their hearts and homes, we've initiated groups of carolers to visit them on Christmas Eve and give them the good news of our Lord's birth. And to make them feel loved and cared for, we brought them presents, cookies, juice, chocolate, fruit, etc.

On December we've managed to make the evaluation of the social assistance services offered throughout the whole year and also the evaluation of the assisted persons' situation, as a result of the assistance we had performed.
We've also elaborated the monthly report, the general report for year 2009 and the work plan for 2010.
We would like to thank to all the people who, during this year, have helped us one way or another (sponsors and volunteers as well), in order to improve the quality of our beneficiaries' lives. None of the less, we want to thank you on behalf of our dear elderlies, for the love and care they've received, with your help.
