Our program hints at the most difficult, sad and painful period in one’s life; GETTING OLD…
Mrs Lazar Magdalena

Unfortunately, in most cases, getting old is seen as a period with lots of incapacities , illness, pain, loneliness, poverty, balance, tears and even suicidal thoughts. These are the problems which the persons that we assist: Margareta, Bergar Eva, Cristea Irina, Ilies Melinda, Palfi Elisabeta, Lacatus Ana, Lazar Magdalena, Turoczki Rozalia, have to face to.
The services and the activities, which are orientated according to the specific needs to the age and the possibility of the foundation, were a real help for these persons in this period too.
The visit of our beloved sponsors Joe and Graham

Home visiting: are long expected and produce joy. We’ve made 1-2 visits/week, listening to their problems, being aware with their health situation, helping and encouraging them to put their faith in God in the moments of loneliness and not only.

Monthly shopping: we have made them with the help of the volunteers, ensuring them the basic things for the whole month. We thank this way to our volunteers which are involved in our program services, we thank our junior volunteers Paul and Ema whom mother wishes to learn the little one to do good to the one in need and to love them.
Emilia and her son Paul Emilia and her daughter Ema

Home delivery of the food packages: every monthwe ensure them the basic food supplies, that get to their tables and along with this they get joy, pace and gratitude. The fact that somebody cares for them are making them to feel safe and to feel that they belong to somebody.

Weekly shopping : this is a real help for them because most of our ” granny’s “ can’t move and they need milk, bread, fruits, medicine, etc. We fulfill this need of them every week, me and the volunteers.
Emotional – spiritual support : to their wish we have read them from the bible and we prayed for them.

Keeping company: it’s a time spent with the one who are immobilized in their own home, it’s a time when we listen to their story, we give them sweets or fruits, we read them and we pray together. The purpose was for them to feel loved and to diminish their loneliness feelings.

Counseling: When there are problems they are calling us to find together the best solution with the help of God.

Purchasing their medicine from the drugstore

Meetings with the volunteers: We organized periodical meetings with the volunteers and we have evaluated their work of social assistance, the clients condition, searching for the best solution to improve them both.

Financial support for : food, detergents, medicine, and other urgent needs.

Outs for a cake: Taking advantage of the nice weather and their mood we were out to confectionery and they were so glad like little children.
They all enjoy the cake and for those who cannot walk we delivered the cake to their homes.
Mrs. Doina Lacatus can walk only if she is accompanied and she is so happy when we go out.
She can see the place where she is and the beauty of the place through the eyes of the one who is describing them to her( Mrs. Doina says).

Walks in the Botanical Garden: in shiny days we ignored the loneliness and we went out to the botanical garden with Mrs. Bercean Margareta and we enjoyed the fresh air, the sun, the flowers and the green.

Fresh air walks: When we had the “guts” to carry further, we went out to stretch and to enjoy the nature, the endless health river. And Mrs. Irina got a cake too.

Intermediation: We have made intermediation for all the eight persons assisted , solving their most problems.
Other services were: paying their bills, cooking and doing their casual cleaning, taking them to the doctor, etc.
We wish you to know that all that we are doing for these lonely souls is for them to feel loved by God and others.
We thank for all those who helped and supported us (financial, material, praying) so that all this things could become possible.
2 Corinthians 1:3,4
Praise be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
